Love Knysna Projects held a sensational end-of-the-year party at the Knysna Elephant Park. It was part of the Experience Knysna! program. Kids and teens from Hornlee, Judah Square and Central Knysna smiled enough to light up our whole town.
Thanks to park owners Ian & Lisette Withers – the sponsorship was worth R10 000! They never put a value to it but we added it up – so when we say thanks, we mean BIG THANKS.
Geoffrey, head guide and the park’s longest running employee, is to be commended. He was a great voice of encouragement and reason for those kids who needed to turn their fear into wonder.
Love Food Café’s playground proved very popular with the small ones. I doubt locals know that this family restaurant is open as a separate venue too i.e. no elephant tour needed to tuck into a good meal whilst the kids play.
The fun was captured on so many cameras and cellphones. The two galleries we post are only a fraction of what was taken – apologies to any parents whose kids we’ve missed (it would have been impossible to gather all the photos and edit them in time).
